Las organizaciones no lucrativas deben reforzar, conjuntamente con todos los implicados, las capacidades a nivel personal, organizacional y sectorial, para poder afrontar los cambios del entorno y seguir contribuyendo a la mejora de la calidad de vida de las personas y comunidades que apoyan. Al mismo tiempo tienen que mantener y reforzar la confianza que la sociedad ha depositado en ellas. Sólo un sector no lucrativo cohesionado, colaborador, transparente, innovador y “gobernado“ desde los valores será capaz de consolidar el espacio que las organizaciones no lucrativas han ido conquistando en nuestro país en los últimos años. Todo ello para poder convertir al Tercer sector en un verdadero interlocutor, junto con los otros dos sectores, público y privado lucrativo, en el modelo de sociedad relacional que se está dibujando. En definitiva, los autores sostienen que el reto de las organizaciones no lucrativas para avanzar en su fortalecimiento institucional pasa por personas con capacidad de innovar socialmente, por organizaciones con inteligencia social y un sector generador de capital mediador.
