La celebración del Concilio Vaticano II motivó la renovación de las estructuras eclesiales, los discursos y las aspiraciones de muchos católicos. Un aspecto en el que esta renovación se notó especialmente fue en la relación del catolicismo con el poder político. En esta obra se analiza esta relación. Religión y política, por tanto, como ejes temáticos de los que partir para ensayar lo que se pretende una nueva forma de entender el devenir político de la Iglesia católica en el periodo posconciliar. El presente libro trata de acercarse a un momento histórico de vital trascendencia en la modernización económica e industrial española, como es el primer tercio del siglo XX. Un periodo brillante de nuestra Historia Económica, donde el país comienza un proceso de desarrollo económico y una senda de crecimiento más que destacable en torno a un proceso industrializador y de tecnificación sin precedentes en nuestra Historia reciente.
