La Aldehuela de Torrelaguna fue una de las más importantes posesiones de la Universidad de Alcalá fuera de la población complutense, tanto desde el punto de vista institucional como desde el económico. Perteneció al priorato de San Tuy, una particular casa religiosa que fue anexionada por el Cardenal Cisneros al Colegio Mayor de San Ildefonso y Universidad de Alcalá en 1510. Cisneros hizo construir en la Aldehuela un gran edificio con una torre que albergaría la capilla, con bóvedas góticas, y un patio columnado del primer renacimiento, obra en su mayor parte de Juan Campero. Sabemos que el edificio fue ideado para servir de casa de retiro de doctores en Teología de la Universidad, e incluso se buscó fundar un colegio en él con ese fin. La posesión universitaria se estudia aquí en toda su historia, desde sus orígenes como dependencia del priorato, hasta la actualidad. Se incluye el análisis de sus fases constructivas y sus funciones (como el priorato) de casa vacacional de universitarios y de explotación agrícola. Se trata de un aspecto de la historia universitaria en su mayor parte desconocido, y de la recuperación de un conjunto constructivo aún en pie para el conocimiento del patrimonio universitario, además de una destacada contribución al conocimiento del patrimonio cultural de la Comunidad de Madrid, que supone un importante caso de transferencia de conocimiento desde la investigación humanística a la sociedad.

Este primer volumen de Lugo comienza con la historia de la sede lucense desde su creación en época anterior a los concilios de Toledo (el primero se celebró entre los años 397 e 400) hasta finales del siglo XI.



Las narraciones mitológicas de la tradición céltica irlandesa, que fueron recopiladas en el llamado Libro de las Invasiones durante la Edad Media, hacían referencia al legendario Breogán, un rey cuya sede se situaba en el noroeste de España. El conocimiento de esa obra permitió que la tierra de Galicia fuese denominada Fogar de Breogán por el poeta que compuso la letra del himno gallego. En este libro se revela el origen y significado de aquellas antiguas leyendas, conservadas en la tradición oral de Irlanda, dando también a conocer al lector la historia de los celtas y de otros pueblos prehistóricos que ocuparon el occidente europeo antes que ellos, los cuales fueron igualmente recordados en los relatos épicos irlandeses.



Desentrañando la madeja de las clases e intereses económicos envueltos en el gobierno español de la ciudad de México, el autor intenta explicar el controvertido fenómeno de la Independencia. Inicia su análisis con una descripción pormenorizada de la importancia, aspecto, constitución política, densidad demográfica y características económicas de la entonces muy real ciudad de México.

Primera entrega de un ambicioso y revelador proyecto de investigación histórica. En ella se analizan los principales materiales, correspondientes a los años que abarcan desde el estallido de la Revolución hasta 1935, cuyo tema central es la polémica relacionada con el positivismo que, según el planteamiento del autor, sufrió un proceso de disgregación de los elementos que lo constituían originalmente.
