30 ANYS DE SERENATES

30 anys de Serenates és un llibre que recull la trajectòria, fins a l'edició del 2016, del festival de música més important que ha tingut i que té la ciutat de València. És la primera vegada que es fa un balanç a nivell global d'aquest fenomen musical, que s'analitzen els programes i s'aporten dades concretes sobre la programació i sobre el que s'ha pogut escoltar, tot això sota el prisma de la reflexió objectiva i científica. El llibre s'estructura en cinc capítols, més pròleg, introducció i epíleg, que n'actuen com a eixos temàtics. Aquests són: Breu història de Serenates: una aproximació a tres dècades d'activitat musical, Estudi i anàlisi quantitativa del Festival de Serenates: concerts, compositors, repertori i intèrprets, El festival Serenates i el patrimoni musical valencià, La consagració de les Serenates i La imatge en el Festival de Serenates.

Heavy Metal: A Song of Healing is a story of healing, renewal and forgiveness that takes place in a fictional kingdom recovering from the tyrannical rule of a Dragon. Seventeen poems, with illustrations, tell the story of a brave heroine who imprisons the Dragon and creates a culture of art and literature where none existed before.Author Jean Cozier is a writer, musician, childhood sexual abuse survivor, and the Founder of The Awakenings Foundation, a private operating foundation whose mission is to make visible the artistic expression of survivors of sexual violence. "Heavy Metal" is her attempt to heal her toxic relationship with her mother, and cope with the demands of caretaking a parent who didn't know how to care for her.

MÚSICA EN TORNO AL MOTU PROPRIO PARA LA CATEDRAL DE SEVILLA. VOL. 1, MISAS

Este volumen presenta el estudio y edición crítica de las cinco misas que Vicente Ripollés Pérez (Castelló de la Plana, 1867-Rocafort, Valencia, 1943) compuso durante su etapa como maestro de capilla de la catedral de Sevilla (1903-1909). El estudio actualiza la biografía del autor, con particular atención a su etapa sevillana, y analiza los rasgos estilísticos y la recepción de las misas editadas. Aborda, además, el contexto litúrgico-musical en el que las piezas fueron creadas e interpretadas e incluye el comentario crítico de las fuentes empleadas, bibliografía, un catálogo provisional de composiciones de Ripollés y tres documentos relacionados con la temática tratada. Las obras editadas son: "Misa de la Inmaculada" (1904), "Misa de San Isidoro" (1905), "Misa de la Dedicación" (1905), "Misa de la Asunción" (1907) y "Misa votiva de la Antigua" (1904), todas para coro y orquesta salvo la última mencionada, que es para dos voces blancas y órgano. La edición de estas composiciones se basa en originales conservados en las catedrales de Sevilla y Valencia, el Real Colegio-Seminario de Corpus Christi de Valencia y la Biblioteca de Catalunya en Barcelona. Tres de estas misas eran inéditas y se ofrece una nueva edición de las dos publicadas previamente ("Misa de la Dedicación" y "Misa votiva de la Antigua"). Se incluye un apéndice musical con el "Credo" (1912) de la "Misa de la Dedicación", compuesto y publicado con posterioridad a la obra original de 1905. El repertorio publicado fue creado en los años inmediatamente posteriores al "motu proprio" sobre música sagrada "Tra le sollecitudini" (1903) del papa Pío X, y es una muestra significativa de estilos y estéticas en los que se materializó la reforma musical religiosa durante la primera mitad del siglo XX en una de las más destacadas e influyentes iglesias españolas. En un segundo volumen (Monumentos dela Música Española, 85) se incluyen composiciones para el oficio divino y otras piezas sacras, que completan la edición de todas las obras para la liturgia hispalense de Vicente Ripollés, autor de referencia en la musicología y la música religiosa de su época.
