OBRA POÈTICA (MARCH, JAUME) (Poesía)
HOLY ISLAND (JENIKE, LESLEY) (Poesía)
"Even the smallest of these poems is a noisy engine of the kind that might have powered an ocean liner from the shores of New England to Henry James's Europe and back again. You feel the heat of the boiler in every one, hear the hiss of the steam. And what rich cargo! As compassionate as she is wise, Lesley Jenike traffics in the secrets of the human heart, the most priceless merchandise of all."?David Kirby

CUATRO ACERCAMIENTOS A LA OBRA DE SAULO TORÓN (RODRIGUEZ, JOSE YERAY) (Poesía)
FIRST, DO NO HARM (BRYLAWSKI-MILLER, LAURA) (Poesía)
In Robert Fagles? translation of Vergil, Aeneas, contemplating the Trojan War cries out, ?The world is a world of tears, and the burdens of mortality to touch the heart.? Laura Brylawski-Miller intuits? the? lacrimae rerum, the tears in things throughout her poetry, and it is not only a result of the classic education she received in her native Italy, but a guiding insight that directs her view of the world, the shape of her soul. Like the Buddha of Sokkuram, she is stunned by the suffering she sees in the world and is left with the only possible response, compassion for the human condition. Compassion in her, however, is not naivet?. This intuition is perhaps what first led her to medicine, the sensitivity for the pain of others, the need to heal, even when that healing process means debriding dead tissue with her poetic scalpel. ?First, do no harm,? the Hippocratic oath demands, but sometimes it requires severe measures as every surgeon knows.?

"Bold-Faced Lies: The Wisdom You Never See" is a collection of rhythmic poetry. The author's style is unorthodox in approach when compared to traditionalist views and similar reflections held among modern contemporaries. This work meditates on the aesthetics of art as a feature of working with prose through poetics. For proofreaders, the experience will feel like a maze; but for reading enthusiasts, journeying through this chapbook will help them disappear into an intimacy of thought where "words" make us feel foreign and vulnerable to our own ways of thinking and viewing the world.
