?Roland Leach?s poems explore the elusive link between the self and memory, our fragile landscape and its human connections in lucid and often moving language that sustains a delicate balance between intellect and emotion. These are poems unafraid to make sense in human terms and all the better for doing so.? ? Fay Zwicky

These are Not Love Poems is a collection of poetry charting a search for intimacy and looking in all the wrong places. "These are not love poems. These are drugs and sex and whole bottles of wine and searching for intimacy in all the wrong places. These are memories and the feel of warm skin and the way you look in the night air. These are the streets of Los Angeles and the nights of Colorado and the cigarettes you smoke even though you know they will kill you. These are different boys, the same boy, some girls, and one girl who is trying to be more than a girl now. These are not love poems."
