El texto de esta edición es una reproducción casi fiel del original ubicado en la Biblioteca de la Real Academia de la Historia (Madrid). Se ha tomado en cuenta el aspecto gráfico de los textos de la época, y respetado las dimensiones semánticas. Por todo ello, no se ha modernizado su vocabulario, pues pensamos que puede ser un buen corpus para aquellos estudiosos de lengua y lingüística que podrían basarse en él para realizar trabajos de gramática histórica e historia de la lengua española. Sin embargo, se ha modernizado unos aspectos (muy pocos) para la comodidad de la lectura y evitar posibles confusiones. En este sentido se ha quitado la s sobrante en las palabras donde viene en doble, la u utilizada en lugar de la v se ha corregido. En cuanto al aspecto sintáctico, el texto mantiene no sólo los rasgos típicos del habla de la época sino sus construcciones, hoy desusadas; todo ello, como se ha señalado anteriormente, para familiarizar al lector en general y a los jóvenes investigadores en especial, con la estructura lingüística de la época.
