LA INQUISICIÓN EN EL PAÍS VASCO: EL TRIBUNAL DE LOGROÑO (1570-1610) (BOMBÍN PÉREZ, ANTONIO)

Pocos temas de la historia española de la Edad Moderna han suscitado mayor interés que el de la Inquisición nueva. Así han ido surgiendo tanto obras generales como concretas sobre los diversos tribunales. En el caso del País Vasco, el tribunal con sede en Logroño tenía un distrito muy amplio, ya que además del territorio vasco englobaba la Rioja y Navarra, con parte de Soria, Burgos y Cantabria. Este tribunal con su distrito ha sido ya estudiado por Ignacio Reguera hasta 1570 por lo que este estudio, partiendo de dicha fecha, incide especialmente en el distrito de Logroño, al producirse en ese año el famoso auto de fe conocido universalmente como el 'Auto de las Brujas'.
