Era tradición en la Universidad de Salamanca que el rector acompañado por algún catedrático visitara cada una de las «cátedras» para comprobar el seguimiento de las obligaciones docentes por parte de los profesores. De estas visitas tenemos registros de los años 1560-1641, que han servido de guía para la realización de este trabajo. Los datos aportados por estos libros, junto con los de otros libros del archivo (Cuentas, Actas de Claustros, Grados, etc.) nos permiten obtener una valiosa información de la vida interna de la Facultad de Teología de la Universidad de Salamanca: métodos de enseñanza, lecturas, profesores, oposiciones, aspirantes a cátedras, incidencias en el desarrollo de las lecturas, entre otros datos que nos acercan al quehacer cotidiano de dicha Facultad.

Our son, Jonathan, was diagnosed in 2013 with Legg-Calve Perthes disease. He went from an athletic child prodigy to a little boy bound by A-frames and/or a wheelchair while his disease progressed. The good news about this disease is it has a good prognosis. The process to get to the end is very disturbing and heart wrenching for the child and the family. Towards the end of Jonathan's journey, he asked me to write a book about his experience. I nodded my head and agreed that would make a good book. Little did I know that was exactly what I was to do, write his story. One night while I was sleeping I was awakened by the Holy Spirit and told to get a pen and paper and He would download Jonathan's book. I wrote for about 3 hours and his book was born!! Inspired still by the Holy Spirit, I asked Jonathan to illustrate each page. This book is Jonathan's and our family's journey of faith through Legg-Calve Perthes disease.
