JOSEP ROCA I GALÈS
Josep Roca i Galès (Barcelona, 1828-Gràcia, 1891) introduí i divulgà les idees cooperativistes en el periòdic La Asociación (1866). L'associació que representava, La Propagadora del Trabajo, fou la primera cooperativa catalana. Va pertànyer al Partit Democràtic i després al Partit Republicà Federal. Va ser escollit diputat provincial per Barcelona l'any 1872. Des de la Diputació de Barcelona va destacar en la defensa dels interessos obrers. Teixidor d'ofici, tingué una sòlida formació tècnica i econòmica. És autor del llibre Un obrero en Fairmount Park, en què descriu l'Exposició Internacional de Filadèlfi a. Va ser un defensor del proteccionisme català, fet que li permeté exercir un paper de pont entre els sectors obrers i burgesos, mitjançant l'entitat Centre Industrial de Catalunya. Fou definit com un obrer honrat, un economista pràctic i una autoritat moral dins del moviment obrer català.

No transcurre un solo día en que su imagen no se halle presente en mi pensamiento o no sienta la necesidad de su abrazo, sonrisa y esperanza desde esta orfandad umbría donde me dejó, muy a su pesar, aquel durísimo día de invierno. Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira nació en Sao Paulo (Brasil) el 13 de diciembre de 1908, y allí también falleció el 3 de octubre de 1995. Fue Diputado de la Asamblea Constituyente brasileña. Profesor en la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Sao Paulo, periodista y escritor, autor de diecinueve libros y de miles de artículos, más también eminente líder católico y hombre de acción. En el curso del siglo por él atravesado, defendió el Papado y la Iglesia contra el totalitarismo nazista y comunista, contra el americanismo y contra el proceso de «autodemolición» de la Iglesia Católica. En él se inspiran las Sociedades de Defensa de la Tradición, Familia y Propiedad (TFP), difundidas en 26 países de los cinco continentes, que forman hoy la más vasta red de asociaciones de inspiración católica dedicadas a combatir el proceso revolucionario que ataca a la Civilización Cristiana. heredero de la escuela contrarrevolucionaria de De Maistre, de Bonald, Donoso Cortés, Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira es considerado por muchos como una de las mayores figuras católicas de este siglo.
