Este volumen pretende dar a conocer las características y singularidades de este núcleo de población de la comarca de L'Horta Sud. El libro efectúa desde la Historia, Geografía y la Historia del Arte un riguroso análisis historiográfico y territorial del municipio desde su Antigüedad hasta el momento presente. De del punto de vista histórico, se describe el origen de Torrent; su devenir a lo largo del tiempo; la evolución de sus actividades productivas, así como su realidad sociocultural y política. Desde la Geografía, se aborda el estudio del medio físico, relevo, red hidrográfica, paisaje, dinámicas demográficas, urbanismo, estructura viaria y actividades económicas, en las que se contempla el sector primario, secundario y terciario. Su Historia del Arte permite conocer su rico patrimonio artístico y etnológico, la arquitectura de sus edificios, su evolución, transformaciones y reformas.
