O control das provincias galegas polos militares sublevados poucos días despois do golpe militar do 20 de xullo dotou este territorio ?e esta sociedade? dunha especial singularidade. Porque o golpe non rematou en poucas horas como tiñan previsto na planificación inicial, nin tan sequera en poucas xornadas coa carreira desesperada pola toma de Madrid... Durou mil días, case tres anos. Neste tempo de conflito bélico, Galiza converteuse nun laboratorio para facer medrar un novo modelo político. Os traballos que conforman este libro están elaborados a partir da documentación galega que sobre o tema se conserva nos arquivos do Estado. A obtención e recollida de información tivo un papel determinante na construción do ?Novo Estado? e do mesmo réxime franquista. Toda a sociedade tiña que estar baixo sospeita. A autoconciencia de formar parte desta engrenaxe social, auspiciada e fomentada dende as altas instancias, foi fundamental para entender un xeito de funcionamento tan prolongado no tempo. Cadaquén tiña o seu papel nesta nova sociedade. O modelo non podía ser cuestionado, porque non había outro, non había alternativa. Téñense escrito moitas liñas sobre o franquismo, mais o propósito que anima este traballo que tedes entre as mans e tentar explicar as orixes do mesmo e responder preguntas como: por que?, como?ou de que xeito?

Es ésta, por tanto, una España básicamente verídica, pero a la manera almodovariana. En resumen, un bello y divertido caleidoscopio de miradas próximo-lejanas sobre España y sus pecados capitales.
