Notable contribución a un más amplio conocimiento y comprensión de las modalidades específicas que en diversas etapas y regiones adoptó la hacienda en nuestro país, así como de su funcionamiento. Han sido delimitados tres ámbitos o niveles de análisis, a saber: la hacienda en México, la hacienda en el altiplano de Puebla-Tlaxcala y el estudio monográfico de la hacienda de San José Ozumba en Puebla.
