El shock cardiogénico es una patología cuya prevalencia es elevada en el mundo occidental en parte condicionada por el envejecimiento de la población. En el presente escrito se describe su fisiopatología y se realiza una aproximación diagnóstica desde el punto de vista ecocardiográfico.
