Esto no significa que se haya abandonado el rigor, sino tan sólo que se ha tenido muy en cuenta al destinatario. Bibliográficamente recoge las obras más importan Tests de los temas tratados.
MUNDOS FRÁGILES, TIEMPOS DIFÍCILES
Este libro está constituido por una serie de textos publicados en los diez últimos años. En él se ha tratado de mostrar una evolución del pensamiento político, moral y jurídico europeo desde la Antigüedad Griega hasta la Ilustración. En este volumen el lector se encontrará con textos sobre autores poco conocidos en España como Trasímaco o Pufendorf, con análisis históricos y sistemáticos de aspectos fundamentales de la filosofía práctica de Aristóteles, con un trabajo sobre le origen de la idea de tolerancia y con una exposición sistemática de las ideas sobre el derecho natural de Mayans, un ilustrado español. Son temas diversos y dispares que están dentro de un mismo ámbito cultural e intelectual: Europa y las preocupaciones de los europeos, por esta razón termina con un epílogo en el que se hace una propuesta de Teoría Política plegada a la antropología. Tan amplio arco temporal está unido porque los asuntos que tratan estos trabajos fueron pensados por autores que vivieron en momentos históricos muy difíciles cuando el mundo, el orden político y social mostraba su fragilidad y debilidad. En estos períodos se necesitaban pensadores que fueran capaces de llevar la vida a sus espaldas y atravesar fronteras que marcaran el camino que deberían seguir otros hombres, toda la sociedad. Podemos afirmar que son seres humanos de fronteras, que no se paran ante el abismo, que no sienten vértigo ante las profundidades, que viviendo en medio del caos, del torbellino del cambio social y político, buscaron guías para solucionar la congoja lacerante que sufren muchos hombres inadaptados incapaces de resistir tanta presión sobre sus débiles ánimos. Para éstos el crecimiento de las posibilidades históricas se les manifestó más como tragedia que como poderío. Para los otros, los pensadores de fronteras, como posibilidades de renovación y no como tragedia. Ellos recobraron la paz, el silencio que anida en las profundidades del espíritu humano, la confortadora firmeza que el hombre posee cuando vuelve a unirse con confianza a la raíces que dan sentido a su vida.
