As deemed by Fritz Leiber, Jr., Lovecraft was the literary Copernicus of the modern horror story, bringing the gothic horror tale into the science of 20th century. The Journal of Lovecraftian Science conducts an analysis of Lovecraft’s story ideas and concepts in the light of both the science of his time as well as that of the early 21st century. The Journal of Lovecraftian Science, Volume 1 is hopefully the first of a series of volumes dedicated to interpreting and analyzing Lovecraft’s stories and concepts within a scientific frame of mind.
