El amor más allá de la vida es el relato en primera persona de la historia de amor de dos jóvenes: un hombre y una mujer. Se conocieron en el Madrid de los años 60. Se enamoraron, se amaron como novios, y decidieron formalizar su relación con el compromiso de una boda. Ella le contó los recuerdos de su niñez de posguerra en su pueblo y los de su adolescencia en Madrid. Él le relató las peripecias y frustraciones de su desventurada aventura en España, desde su llegada de Colombia. Decidieron organizar sus vidas haciendo del pasado borrón, y del presente cuenta nueva. Se prometieron amor eterno. Ella se fue primero y él se quedó solo para cumplir la promesa que en vida le hizo: escribir su historia de amor y denunciar el trato recibido y la forma de actuar de algunos “profesionales” del Hospital Doctor Negrín, donde su esposa falleció.
