NORTH AMERICAN CROSS-CULTURAL CHURCH PLANTING (ROGERS, GLENN)

In North American Cross-cultural Church Planting, Dr. Glenn Rogers explains how to plant churches cross-culturally. Of the 300 million people who call America home, nearly 100 million of them are unchurched people. America has one of the highest unchurched populations in the world. Many of those 100 million unchurched people are non-Anglo people who have immigrated to this country. They need to hear the story of Jesus. Planting churches cross-culturally is the best way to reach ethnically-other people, sharing with them the story of Jesus, leading them into a reconciled, renewed relationship with God.

DECODING NICEA (PAVAO, PAUL)

The Council of Nicea was indeed?clerics in a dark and ornate hall, but it was also brawls in churchyards,?emperors and governors fighting to save the empire, and?political intrigue as the governments of church and state blended into a volatile stew. It was the way a fringe group of peace-loving communal worshipers of a crucified Palestinian prophet conquered the Roman empire.HISTORY COMES TO LIFE IN YOUR HANDS Leaf through ancient documents. THE PATH OF THE WISE (ANDERSON, JOSEPH E;NICHOLS, TIMOTHY R)

Jesus came as the ultimate prophet, preaching the Kingdom of God. Then one Friday afternoon on a hill outside Jerusalem, Jesus--the ultimate priest--offered a perfect sacrifice and crushed the head of the serpent, defeating the kingdom of darkness forever. We live in between. The darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining.

THE SEVEN KEYS OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN (SMITH, LOUISE)

There seems to be such a time of turning away from GOD at an alarming rate. Some are preaching that we are in the last days; however, I believe that we have been in the last days since the death and the resurrection of Christ. However, this does not mean that it is the end of time. It may be the end as we know it to be, but it is not the end. This is just the beginning of sorrow. I do believe that because of the turning away from GOD, that we are slowly entering perilous times; and they have already begun. If we do not mend and turn from our evil ways, the perilous times will increase. We must seek the kingdom of heaven.
