Las técnicas Freinet mostraron la voluntad de renovación pedagógica de los maestros de la Segunda República, privilegiando la animación lectora y despertando la ilusión por la tarea escolar mediante la realización por parte de los escolares de cuadernos o revistas ilustradas. Esta obra es el resultado de las jornadas organizadas por la Càtedra Fundació Enric Soler i Godes sobre las revistas escolares de las técnicas Freinet que permitían a niños y niñas narrar los hechos vividos en su entorno.
