Desde hace más de diez años el proyecto GEA-CLÍO, ha venido ofreciendo sus materiales didácticos para que pudieran ser utilizados en el aula en la comprensión de los problemas del presente, desde una perspectiva geográfica e histórica. Por una parte, entendemos que desde la geografía es factible explicar adecuadamente los problemas locales y cotidianos dentro de los mecanismos que rigen el funcionamiento de las relaciones internacionales y que afectan a la ordenación de la naturaleza, con los riesgos ambientales que todos conocemos. Por otra, sabemos que la capacidad de la historia es tal que nos permite prever posibles futuros individuales y colectivos a través de una explicación rigurosa de los problemas del presente desde sus raíces históricas. Y todo ello lo buscamos con un alumnado cada vez más heterogéneo y que tiene unas expectativas inciertas ante su futuro. Por eso creemos que, desde estas materias, es posible racionalizar sus experiencias subjetivas y colectivas, su vida en sociedad. Para ello se precisa de un profesorado comprometido con la búsqueda activa de la autonomía personal y la ciudadanía. Una actitud que se muestra en la misma manera de utilizar este material: seleccionando algunos documentos y trabajando las propuestas de la diversidad. Una dirección del proceso que conlleva la puesta en práctica de un procedimiento básico: dar la voz al alumnado, esos que muchas veces hablan pero no comunican. La continua referencia a síntesis, resúmenes e informes nos indica que la prioridad del proyecto es la elaboración de una exposición ordenada de las ideas que permiten explicar nuestro mundo. Estamos orgullosos de mantener este proyecto, pese a las dificultades que conlleva, como es la escasa posibilidad de desarrollar un programa de formación permanente, con objeto de vencer los obstáculos que aparecen en cualquier alternativa al pensamiento dominante. El proyecto GEA-CLÍO se ha venido difundiendo en numerosas localidades de la península Ibérica y ha sido valorado como la aportación española más significativa en la didáctica de la geografía, en el mismo nivel de las realizadas por N. Graves o B. Merenne en los ámbitos anglosajón o francófono, por parte de los geógrafos portugueses.

El viatge pastoral del bisbe Andreu Bertran per les parròquies de la diòcesi de Girona l''any 1420, ens endinsa en la vida quotidiana i la religiositat dels habitants dels pobles i viles de la diòcesi i especialment de la comarca del Baix Empordà, en aquella conflictiva etapa històrica, a les portes de la crisi remença. Els motius i els objectius d''aquella minuciosa i exhaustiva visita pastoral aporten noves hipòtesis que la relacionen amb les conseqüències del Cisma a Catalunya.
