Transcripció i edició dels 123 documents que integren l’anomenat “Llibre de privilegis de la insigne vila de Puigcerdà“ conservat a la Biblioteca de Catalunya, començat el 1382 pel notari Jaume Call per encàrrec dels cònsols de la vila, i continuat per altres fedataris fins a principis del segle XVIII. Els instruments abasten cronològicament des de 1181 fins a 1706, per bé que la seva major part corresponen al període medieval, destacant els 10 concedits per Jaume I i els 15 per Pere III el Cerimoniós. De l’època moderna només s’hi enregistren 12.

Aquest llibre, fruit d?una exposició prèvia, mostra a través de fotografies com la Guerra Civil Espanyola va irrompre en el nostre territori. Com es van implantar arquitectures militars de campanya i com es van deixar trinxeres, búnquers i metralla diversa. Com, a hores d?ara, setanta anys després, l?empremta de la guerra encara roman en el paisatge i es confon amb la natura. Itinerari d?una memòria enfrontada permet contemplar la línia de front que resseguia els rius Noguera Pallaresa, Segre i Ebre i que, entre l?abril i el desembre de 1938, va delimitar la zona republicana de la franquista. Oriol Riart dóna a conèixer l?estat actual dels antics escenaris bèl·lics i redescobreix una part important de la nostra història.
