SEMANTIC ALIGNMENT IN THE CONTEXT OF AGENT INTERACTION (ATENCIA ARCAS, MANUEL)
La tesis central de este libro es que en los casos de interacción entre dos o más agentes, el alineamiento semántico debe adaptarse al tipo de interacción. Se presenta el modelo Situated Semantic Alignment (SSA), y se estudia el alineamiento semántico dependiente de las circunstancias de la interacción en una especificación del modelo SSA que se conoce como Interaction-Situated Semantic Alignment (I-SSA). El libro propone un fundamento formal para I-SSA inspirado en un constructo matemático de la teoría de las categorías que se llama producto comunicativo. Además, describe un protocolo de alineamiento y el mecanismo que los agentes deben seguir para beneficiarse en la práctica del uso de este modelo. Y por último, presenta el estudio de un caso de reservas de viajes que permite valorar el rendimiento de I-SSA en el entorno técnico actual. El ejemplo demostró que I-SSA funciona mejor cuando la interacción entre los agentes es especialmente relevante, y manifestó las diferencias entre este y otros modelos estándar de alineamiento semántico.
