Ao longo destes 125 anos foron moitas as persoas, homes e mulleres, que traballaron a prol da construción e do desenvolvemento dese sistema. LA BOBA PARA LOS OTROS Y DISCRETA PARA SÍ (VEGA, LOPE DE)

Dentro de la producción dramática de Lope de Vega, esta comedia se enmarca en el llamado ciclo " de senectute " , comprendido entre 1627 y 1635. Se trata de un periodo convulso para el autor, quien, acosado por desgracias y enfermedades familiares, buscaba sin conseguirlo una relación de mecenazgo o un puesto en la corte. Uno de los rasgos más característicos de su producción de estos años es el cultivo de la materia palatina, a la que pertenece " La boba para los otros y discreta para sí " , una obra dotada de una comicidad más mesurada que la de etapas anteriores y de una ambientación basada en los conflictos que surgieron en el seno de la nobleza italiana por el ducado de Urbino, a principios del siglo XVI. En este desdibujado ducado italiano, a medio camino entre la fantasía y la historia, vive nuestra protagonista, Diana, una joven audaz y criada en el campo que, tras descubrir que es hija natural del duque de Urbino, se finge boba con el objetivo de reclamar el título de duquesa que le corresponde legítimamente. Para conseguirlo, tendrá que sortear las asechanzas de su prima Teodora, su rival en la carrera por el ducado, y actuar con astucia en una corte representada en la comedia como un nido de cortesanos codiciosos e hipócritas.

PLAYS OF COLONIAL KOREA (HAM, SE-DOK;KIM, JINHEE)

During the Japanese occupation of Korea, young intellectuals like Se-d?k Ham, eager to transform the traditional Korean ways, introduced Western arts, philosophy, and technology and styled themselves as bringing enlightenment. It was in this edgy, tumultuous world that Ham?s plays were first performed.With the end of World War II and the collapse of the Japanese colonial government, Ham opted to side with North Korea. Subsequently, he was blacklisted for more than forty years in the South as a leftist and communist defector. Publication or performance of his works as well as any form of scholarly investigation into his life and work were banned until 1988. That year, on the eve of the Summer Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea ?rehabilitated? him along with a number of other artists known to have supported communist North Korea.The literary reputation of Ham is giving new impetus to a global examination of Korea?s colonial literature and this is the first volume of his plays to be translated into English.?

Piguernicasso cuenta, en clave de intriga psicológica, la elaboración del mural Guernica por Pablo Picasso. Se pone especial énfasis en la influencia que la fotógrafa Dora Maar tiene sobre el pintor en la determinación y desarrollo de ese proceso de creación. También se presta una destacada atención a las circunstancias políticas que rodean ese proceso artístico, con los intereses que tenía el Gobierno del Frente Popular en España, la oposición de los partidos conservadores, las reclamaciones del Gobierno vasco y las maniobras realizadas por la alta jerarquía de la iglesia católica para impedirlo.
