ORGANIZACIÓN, GESTIÓN Y CREACIÓN DE EMPRESAS TURÍSTICAS aporta de un modo conciso los ingredientes esenciales para orientar al alumnado universitario de estudios turísticos por el complejo mundo de la empresa turística. Se pretende ofrecer una visión global de todos los aspectos relevantes en el proceso emprendedor de sacar adelante un proyecto empresarial turístico o sencillamente estar preparado para situarse al frente de un negocio turístico ya existente. Pero, principalmente, se persigue fomentar en el alumnado el estímulo hacia lo que podríamos denominar vocación empresarial, de la que nuestra sociedad anda corta, precisamente porque esa capacidad emprendedora es uno de los recursos más escasos que existen. El texto se estructura en cuatro bloques: en el primero se exponen los elementos básicos que permitirán al lector ir conformando una visión sistémica del negocio turístico. En la segunda y tercera parte se exponen los principios de la organización y gestión empresarial con una especial referencia al negocio hotelero, la restauración, las agencias de viaje y las empresas de transporte. Finalmente, en la cuarta parte se muestra el modo de realizar un plan de empresa y se exponen los trámites básicos y cotidianos a los que debe enfrentarse quien se aproxime al mundo del negocio turístico: frente a la Agencia Estatal de la Administración Tributaria, frente a la Seguridad Social, frente a las Corporaciones Locales, y muchos otros más.
