El objetivo del presente trabajo es determinar si existe una relaciónjerarquizada entre Enfermería y Medicina en el libro Notas sobreEnfermería, entendida como una relación subordinación y no dedependencia entre ambas disciplinas. Para lo cual el método deinvestigación utilizado es el historiográfico, a través debúsquedas en diferentes fuentes documentales que vienen a demostrarla jerarquización del conocimiento y práctica de la Enfermeríarespecto a la Medicina, los estereotipos sociales sobre la mujer quese reflejan en la práctica enfermera y el alejamiento de laformación enfermera respecto a la formación médica.
