UNA LEVE EXAGERACIÓN (ZAGAJEWSKI, ADAM)

Una leve exageración, la obra más personal de Zagajewski, no es una autobiografía al uso, sino un texto digresivo, aforístico, una suerte de die­tario sin orden cronológico en el que el poeta comparte con el lector episodios de su histo­ ria personalde la Segunda Guerra Mundial y la deportación de su familia tras la ocupación de Polonia al funeral de Joseph Brodsky en Ve­neciaentrelazados con impresiones sobre la historia de Europa, la guerra y la ideología, así como la literatura y el arte que más han mar­cado su trayectoria. «Una leve exageración es, de hecho, una buena definición de la poesía [...] La poesía es una leve exageración mien­tras no hacemos de ella nuestro hogar, porque entonces se vuelve realidad. Y luego, cuando la abandonamosporque nadie puede morar en ella siempre, vuelve a ser una leve exagera­ción». Y es que, para Zagajewski, la poesía es ese ligero desplazamiento de lo real que per­mite transmutar la vida en arte.
