Cándido Alfonso González Tiradas (Carballo, 1905 -Buenos Aires, 1966), emigrou moi novo para a Arxentina, onde desenvolveu un labor moi intenso no ámbito político e cultural da emigración galega.A obra que hoxe se edita, iMal Olio!..., foi premiada no Certame 'Castelao' (1952-53) do Centro Galego bonaerense e publicada orixinalmente en Buenos Aires en 1954.Do punto da dramática galega, a peza inscríbese no contexto do teatro musical, constituíndo un folk-drama en que se combinan elementos puramente populares de ambiente mariñeiro coa utilización do mundo mítico galego. Nesta liña, débese salientar a utilización de recursos escenográficos, onde a luminotecnia e o vestiario teñen un papel simbólico fundamental, que remiten a obra á tradición dramática culta do noso teatro.Lingüisticamente, esta obra de Cándido A.
