Este texto nos brinda una panorámica de la educación y la investigación artística en Italia en una etapa que cubre desde los años sesenta hasta la actualidad. Ésta es una historia reciente que ha sido vivida por muchos educadores, pero que también puede que sea desconocida para otros más jóvenes, por lo que parece el momento oportuno de recopilar y analizar las propuestas que la conforman, que en su momento tuvieron una gran influencia en el ámbito europeo. Pino Parini actúa como catalizador de estos movimientos de renovación pedagógica y su personalidad integra a los educadores más interesados en el arte y la educación. Ha llevado a cabo una amplia investigación, basada en las teorías de la Escuela Operativa creada por Silvio Ceccato, que luego ha aplicado a la educación artística. Así, en la primera parte de este libro se exponen principios básicos que luego, en la segunda, se ejemplifican con experiencias realizadas con alumnos. Principalmente se pone el énfasis en proponer una nueva teoría de la percepción que conteste a las afirmaciones de la teoría de la Gestalt. Pero también se hace una referencia especial a las interrelaciones de la percepción y el lenguaje, y se intenta afrontar el problema del estereotipo de la figuración. Finalmente, se contrapone estas ideas a experiencias tales como las propuestas por Bruno Munari u otras, representativas de la más variada pluralidad de movimientos, que tampoco se han querido excluir.

Afirman los coordinadores de este libro que vivimos en un mundo fragmentado y neonómada en el que todas las cosas ?y la educación en lugar privilegiado? cambian con extrema rapidez. Así pues, a un colectivo como el de los profesionales de la Teoría y la Historia de la Educación compete analizar ?una y otra vez? la naturaleza de la educación, que constituye una de las dimensiones esenciales del quehacer humano. En la década de 1970, las discusiones epistemológicas emplearon mucha tinta en el ámbito de la educación. A la tradicional Pedagogía implantada en España a comienzos del siglo XX bajo el signo de la filosofía, siguieron nuevos planteamientos y, junto a ellos, nuevas nomenclaturas. Gracias a la influencia del positivismo, del evolucionismo y del experimentalismo surgió una disciplina de nueva planta que respondía al epígrafe de «Ciencia de la Educación» y que deseaba fijar las bases de un conocimiento exacto y riguroso de la educación. Por esta vía, la vieja Pedagogía de ascendencia filosófica entraba en una crisis que desembocó en la sustitución del sintagma «Ciencia de la Educación» por el de «Ciencias de la Educación». Quedaba así confirmado que la justificación científica de la educación no podía reducirse a una única ciencia ?primero la filosofía, base de la Pedagogía, más tarde, la biología, referente de la Ciencia de la Educación? sino que se había de acudir a un conjunto de disciplinas (Historia, Antropología, Psicología, Sociología, Economía, Derecho, etc.) que, en conjunto, daban vida a las Ciencias de la Educación.

La fisioterapia es una profesión relativamente joven y en constante evolución. En los últimos años está experimentando un gran empuje en cuanto a investigación se refiere para validar, de una forma científica, la gran evidencia clínica que hasta la fecha teníamos de nuestros tratamientos. Por este motivo desde la Escuela de Fisioterapia de la Universidad Francisco de Vitoria hemos querido recopilar los artículos más interesantes publicados en 2012 en las revistas de mayor impacto de nuestra área, realizando una selección de los mismos y agrupándolos por temas para facilitar así, el acceso y la consulta a todos los profesionales interesados en ello. El objetivo que hemos pretendido ha sido doble, por un lado, recopilar y divulgar estos artículos, y por otro, intentar promover e incentivar en nuestro colectivo la realización de estudios que aumenten el prestigio de nuestra profesión y supongan un avance para todos los que la formamos.
